Exciting opportunity for people with sight problems

10.06.49am BST (GMT +0100) Wed 11th Jul 2007

Over the coming months RNIB Cymru will be conducting a survey of people with sight problems in Wales. The aim of the survey is to build on the information they already have through research and contact with people with sight loss. They are particularly interested in talking to people with sight loss and their carers about their interests, concerns and ambitions.

They plan to develop a proactive network of people with sight problems that will influence national and local policy. These people will act as media spokespeople and attend Assembly events so they can take their concerns directly to policy makers.

Jenny Randerson AM commented' "RNIB Cymru are looking for people with sight problems to support and inform their work. Please get in touch with them to help ensure that your voice is heard."

This Campaign Supporters Network could make a real difference and increase the priority of sight loss in government policy.

If you would like to be involved please contact Kate Hughes or Gwenda Fitzpatrick at RNIB Cymru on 029 2044 9595.
