Ambulance Staff survey shows the service still has a long way to go

12.00.00am GMT Fri 15th Feb 2008

Welsh Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson, Jenny Randerson AM has reacted to a leaked report showing that staff in the Welsh Ambulance Service believe they are not yet kept up to date with changes in the service.

The report showed that 72% of staff do not feel that communication between management and staff is effective.

Jenny Randerson said: "This report shows that there are still concerns about the Ambulance Service. While I believe that all Ambulance Staff are doing a good job in trying to turn around a very difficult situation, there is still some concern about how far improvements have gone.

"I know that Alan Murray is very keen to improve communication and has in the past met with employees who have contacted me with concerns. I believe this further illustrates the appalling depths that the Labour Government allowed the service to sink to in the first place."
