Commenting on the release of figures showing that Cardiff remains at the bottom of NHS waiting times for A+E services, Welsh Lib Dem Health Spokesperson and Cardiff Assembly Member, Jenny Randerson said:
"It is worrying that despite not being the busiest hospital in Wales, UHW remains at the bottom of the league for patients being seen within the target times. As I have said in the past, the best way to ease the pressure on Cardiff's overstretched health services is through the creation of an NHS walk-in centre at the heart of the city, possibly on the site of the CRI. This is the most sensible way to deal with the problems that our services face."
