JR and JW campaigning for smaller class sizes

Jenny Randerson and Jenny Willott are calling on the Assembly Government to reduce primary school class sizes

Welsh Lib Dems are calling for the maximum size of primary school classes to be limited to 25. They say that smaller classes will improve the quality of education for local children.

Jenny Randerson AM said: "Welsh Lib Dems want to see class sizes reduced to give our children the best possible start in life." At the same time that the Welsh Lib Dems are calling for smaller classes, Labour has scrapped its promise to limit class sizes.

Jenny Willott added, "It's yet another broken promise from Labour - so much for their promise of 'education, education, education."

"Many local councils would like to reduce class sizes, but the Labour Assembly Government's funding arrangements make it impossible for them to afford it."
